Premier's Debating Challenge

Our Primary Debating team competed against the Moree Public Shamrock’s.

The topic was “That every school kid should have to play in a weekend team sport competition”.

Our team was the negative and had some convincing arguments and strong rebuttals that helped us to come away with the win.

Congratulations to our debating team. They have now successfully completed all of their round debates.

 Ebor Trout Hatchery

Year 7 and 8 had an enjoyable field trip to the Dutton Trout Hatchery in Ebor. An early morning start allowed us to arrive at morning tea time, which was followed up by an informative short video presentation and then a guided tour of the hatchery.

Students were able to view the whole process of raising trout from the embryo stage to full grown. A highlight was feeding the trout (who put on a great show by leaping out of the water). The return trip included lunch in Armidale.

Thank you to Mr Good and Mr Patton for their help on the day and thank you to the students who stayed behind and helped to introduce our 100 juvenile trout into our Aquaponic system. I look forward to helping students raise and later harvest the fish.
