Cancer fundraiser a success

Daffodil Day 2024
Sun coloured bunches of Daffodils ‘flew of the table’ and around the town, for the 2024 Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group Inc.’s (BCPFRG) annual Daffodil Day Street Stall. The weather was mild, and conducive to another successful morning raising funds in aid of the NSW Cancer Council. The stall tables were bursting at the seams with home baked, homegrown and homemade delights.
Yet another sincere thank you to the community of Barraba for their constant support in our fundraising efforts. As well, we thank the kind donors: John and Toni Waugh for the Guessing Competition prize of a delicious fruit and vegetable tray; the time and marvelous music by Martin Unwin; and the wooden sculptures from Ken Faulkner.
Winners of the 100 Club were: 1st Hannah Johnston
2nd Pamela King
3rd Peter Hancock
The Guessing Competition was won by Helen Kelly.
BCPFRG would like to again thank you all for your support, as well as a shout out to Marnie Crowley from Cobbadah Flowers for sourcing the majority of the beautiful Daffodils. To those who donated their homegrown Daffodils, they were much appreciated too.
