7th August 2024

United Hospital Auxiliary of NSW – Barraba Branch News.

The Barraba Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary of NSW held their AGM at the Barraba Multipurpose Service Day Centre on the 2nd of August 2024. A small but very dedicated group attended the meeting along with special guests Sally Cronberger, NSW UHA President and Karen York, Acting Barraba Health Service Manager.

Karen showed members the new Ook Snow SC Lowfalls Prevention Bed that the Auxiliary has helped to purchase at a cost of $9,961.00. This bed will provide safe and comfortable equipment for both clients and staff to utilize. Sally Cronberger “Congratulated the Auxiliary Members for their continued support of the Multipurpose Service Staff and to the residents of the Barraba community, on being able to provide much needed equipment for all to access whilst in hospital”. Sally also congratulated everyone on staging a very successful Zone Conference in March earlier this year. At the conference attendees made donations to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service & Ruby Mae’s Wish.

New members are always welcome to join and help raise funds for equipment that will be accessible to all residents of the Barraba community. The next meeting is on the 4th of October at the Day Centre, if you wish to join.

The next fundraising activity will be a raffle during Frost Over Barraba. Thank you to the Frost Committee & Sandra Allen at Polkadot for supporting the Auxiliary with selling tickets at their venues and a huge thank you also to the donors of prizes, your generosity is outstanding!
