CELEBRATE SENIORS HELPING OUR REGION THRIVE

Seniors who make our region a great place to live can be recognised for their efforts, with Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson encouraging the community to nominate superstar seniors as part of the 2022 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Award.

Nominations are now open for the awards program which celebrates the work and achievements of seniors in the community.

“Seniors play such an important role in our community as volunteers, role models, carers and I know that so many of our key local organisations could not operate without the assistance of seniors,” Mr Anderson said.

If you know a senior who has gone above and beyond for their community, I would sincerely encourage you to nominate them to acknowledge their contribution.”

Winners of the Local Achievement Awards will be announced during the NSW Seniors Festival which runs from 25 March – 3 April. The awards program is part of an exciting schedule of events across the state.

It is the largest festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere and enables older people to engage with each other, their community, services and supports.
