Barraba Show Wool section results

Wool Section – Show Report by Ian McColl
It was pleasing to receive 27 fleeces in the Wool Section this year. The wool was of a very high standard, congratulations to all of the exhibitors. We thank Mr Maurice McNeill, who travelled from Brisbane, to judge the fleeces.
CHAMPION OPEN CLASS FLEECE was won by AC Smith & Co, who also won the BARRABA & DISTRICT CHAMPION FLEECE and HIGHEST POINT SCORE awards.
HIGHEST COMMERCIAL VALUE FLEECE went to Gemma White with a value of $91.75.
CHAMPION HOGGET FLEECE went to Rocky Glen Ag, who also won the MOST SUCCESSFUL BARRABA & DISTRICT EXHIBITOR prize.
The Wool Section owes a special thanks to Howard Carter, Bevan Benson, Roger Bomford and Brenda McColl for their help and assistance over the Show weekend.
