St Joeys students work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

JOEY'S NEWS

Recently our school community has participated in a survey about life and learning at St Joseph's. Parents, students and staff each completed their own questionnaire. The survey results help us identify goals for improvement. Shortly we will develop our Annual Improvement Plan to guide the school in 2022.

The Year 5/6 class have been working diligently on their production, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Unfortunately, restrictions mean we are unable to take students to The Playhouse Hotel theatre for rehearsals and performances. We have rescheduled the performance to happen at school on 10 and 11 November. School staff will video the production for the students' families. The younger classes and staff will be the live audience. The students have been working exceptionally hard on bringing their performance together as well as working on sets and props. Thank you to Mrs Shani Marshall who is directing and producing the production, and to Mrs Justine Harris, Mrs Bec Russell and Miss Eleisha Outridge for their assistance with creating props and practising dance routines.

Congratulations to Josh Anderson who made his First Holy Communion at St John's last weekend. Congratulations also, to the Students of the Week. Well done to Blake Newberry of K/1 for effort and improvement in Mathematics, Hamish Mason in Year 2/3/4 for great improvement in writing and to Henry Groth in Year 5/6 for his creative writing. Congratulations also to Christina Eddington for receiving the Captains' Award.
