Support for employers from NSW Government

Workers Compensation

The NSW Government has introduced a freeze on Workers Compensation premium rates for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 financial years. This means most businesses can look forward to more stable and predictable premiums.

However, individual premiums would still need to be recalculated if wages, business activity, claims history or incentive eligibility changed during the freeze.

Resources to help employers get Payday Super right

With Payday Super now in place, employers must pay super contributions for each payday rather than quarterly.

For employees, the change helps boost their superannuation balance. For businesses, it’s made super part of the normal payroll cycle, lowering the risk of falling behind on contributions. To support the transition, the ATO has guidance and practical resources to help employers understand what’s changed and know how to implement Payday Super correctly.
