DAFFODIL DAY 2026, celebrated throughout Australia, falls this THURSDAY 20th August, ie TOMORROW!
Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group Inc. (BCPFRG) supports this important day with their annual Street Stall, to be held in the Queen Street Mall from 9am. Gorgeous bright, sun coloured bunches of Daffodils will be for sale from the trading tables, along with the usual bounty of tasty home baked items, produce and goods. The Guessing Competition and 100 Club will take place as well, so why not try your luck there too!
Tasty morning tea plates with a friendly cup of tea or coffee will be for sale in the Mall and can be enjoyed whilst sitting there chatting and listening to the much-adored tunes, performed by the members of ‘Old Spice’, the local band. Morning tea plates and Daffodils will also be for sale and delivered around the township to the various Business houses.
Funds raised are donated to the NSW Cancer Council and other Australian cancer related organizations; all of whom raise awareness of cancer, conduct research into the causes, treatment and management of the various types of cancer, as well as supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
