Update from the Senior Citz

27th March 2024

Senior Citizens News

Hi Everyone

Our My Aged Care information morning was well attended.  Our guest, Julie Tremayne gave a very interesting talk, with quite a few questions being asked and answered.  Morning tea was much appreciated.  Well done girls.

The meeting on Friday was also well attended.  High on the agenda was our holiday.  The date set is – 19 August to 24th August.  We will be heading off to Dubbo with a 7am departure, returning home on the 24th.  We have an outline of a plan; the main feature seems to be the Taronga Western Plains Zoo.  I am in the final stages of sussing out accommodation and entry fees.  At the meeting we decided on a deposit of $100 – NON-REFUNDABLE.  Whatever the full cost is, I will be able to say after Easter.  Only 22 seats are available, so, first in gets a seat.  So, folks have a think about it.  Of course, this trip is open for everyone, a full bus will help to keep costs down.  A tip for those who would like to go – if you have a Seniors Card, that will be very handy, if you have not got one, may I suggest that you obtain one.  To let me know, my phone number is 0429821158.

Housie and handicrafts are zooming along.  The earlier start has not deterred any of the regulars.  Members and supporters, please keep in mind our street stall on the 10th of May.

Our Easter Raffle brought in a nice return.  Winners’ names are elsewhere in the paper.  A big thank you to all who purchased tickets.

This is all for now, so with a “get well soon”, to those on the sick list, and a safe and happy Easter wish to all.  Stay well and stay safe.

Cheers to all

Judy Brady
