It was pleasing to receive 39 fleeces in the Wool Section this year.  The wool was of a very high standard, congratulations to all of the exhibitors.  We thank Mr Bruce Toms from Fox & Lillie Rural, who travelled from Stanthorpe, to judge the fleeces.

The GRAND CHAMPION Fleece of the show was won by Adette Grazing, who also won the CHAMPION OPEN CLASS FLEECE and HIGHEST POINT SCORE awards.

CHAMPION MERINO FLEECE, Barraba & District went to PARAWAY PASTORAL who also won the HIGHEST COMMERCIAL VALUE FLEECE.

MOST SUCCESSFUL BARRABA EXHIBITOR was won by A.C. Smith & Co and CHAMPION HOGGET FLEECE went to DAN HARRIS

CHAMPION SHORT WOOL went to BROOKLYN LANDS and ENCOURAGMENT AWARDS went to APPLEDORE PASTORAL and COBRABALL

The Wool Section owes a special thanks to Bevan Benson, Roger Bomford and Brenda McColl for their help and assistance over the Show weekend and also to ZAC & JOCK MALLISE for organising most of the fleeces – thanks guys
