MedCIRC closed again in Barraba
Temporary Closure Notice- Barraba Medical Centre.
Dear Barraba Community
It is with regret that the Barraba Medical Centre will be closed temporarily from 21st August 2023.
We have been unable to secure a permanent GP for the Practice. There is currently a national shortage of qualified doctors.
If you require your medical record to be transferred to another GP, unfortunately there will be a small cost involved. You will need to have a request form from your new GP to obtain your records.
All the urgent pathology reports and documents will be actioned by a specialist general practitioner. Patients will receive telephone calls or letters with regards to such reports.
If you require a consultation (scripts, licence medicals etc) with a Doctor, there will be Boyd Health at the Barraba Hospital from Friday 25th August. Appointments can be booked online or if having difficulty booking, please contact the Barraba Hospital for assistance.
For after-hours consultations please present to the Emergency Department at the Barraba Hospital no need to make phone calls.
