Daffodil Day raising funds for cancer
Daffodil Day 2023
The 2023 Cancer Council DAFFODIL DAY falls on THURSDAY 31st AUGUST. Barraba Cancer Patient’s Fund Raising Group (BCPFRG) will be helping to celebrate this day by holding their Street Stall again, in the Queen Street Mall from 9am. Funds raised from Daffodil Day throughout the nation, assist in raising awareness of cancer and go towards cancer related research projects.
Please come along and support this worthy Cause – there will of course be beautifully bright bunches of Daffodils, home baked/made goods of all varieties on the trading table, morning tea plates served with a cup of tea or coffee to be enjoyed in the Mall whilst listening to local Marty Unwin playing his tunes. The Guessing Competition and 100 Club will be conducted, and plated goodies with daffodils will be delivered to the local Business Houses.
The BCPFRG’s Daffodil Day Street Stall this year, coincides with the first day of the FROST OVER BARRABA Arts Festival, open from 10am in the old Treloar’s Building at 75 Queen Street. So why not head out and enjoy both of these lovely local events. We look forward to seeing you there.
