100 years of Legacy
Legacy week this year runs from August 27th to September 1st, 2023. This week is our biggest annual fundraiser and is of special significance this year as we celebrate our centenary year marking 100 years of providing essential care and assistance to our veteran’s families. To celebrate this event the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay began on Anzac Day, April 25th, in Pozieres, France and proceeded to London, England and after arriving in Albany, Australia, is being carried through Australia by the 44 Legacy clubs and will arrive in Melbourne in October, having travelled throughout the country. Legatees Robert Sweeney and Bill Crowley were honoured to represent Barraba Legacy in carrying the Legacy Torch through Tamworth on its arrival there in July.
We will be selling Legacy badges in Barraba as usual during Legacy week as well as running a raffle and we look forward to the support of the Barraba Community again as your most generous support in the past has been greatly appreciated.
