It was with great sadness that the parishioners of St John’s Catholic Church heard of the death of Sister Petra Ries. She died on Sunday evening, 3rd September, in the Palliative Care Unit of Concord Hospital, surrounded by the love and prayers of the Sisters of St Joseph.
Sister Petra had lived in Barraba for the past 8 years. She cared not your rank, colour or creed but was always ready to know you, give you God’s blessing and to barrack for the Swans.
She will be greatly missed.
