Years 5 and 6 have recently had an excursion to Canberra.   A week full of fun and learning activities.  With an early start on Monday 28 September at 6.15am they heading off in conjunction with the Barraba Central School.  Visiting places like the Royal Australian Mint, Australian War memorial, Questacon and the National Museum and that was just day one.  Wednesday saw the children learn all about the rights and responsibilities of voting and visited Parliament house old and new and then sporting skills were tested at the AIS. Snow day Thursday, the children were off to Mt Corin to give skiing a go.  This was great fun all be it with man-made snow. With lots of laughter, falls and getting up and giving it all another go, the students were fully exhausted.  Friday saw them arrive back in Barraba around 5.30pm all looking forward to home cooked meals, their own beds and parent wanting to know all about it and how much fun was had.
