Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) is currently reviewing and assessing options to improve the sustainability of its sewage treatment system at Barraba. A key component under assessment is the potential for effluent management by reuse or evaporation. TRC is inviting expressions of interest for effluent reuse by irrigation and/ or evaporation.
TRC is interested in receiving expressions of interest that come under any of the following categories:
1. Interested parties selling their land, or a portion thereof, to TRC to establish a Council managed scheme.

  1. Interested parties selling their land, or a portion thereof, for establishing a privately managed scheme.
  2. Interested parties making their land available to TRC for effluent irrigation via a long-term lease type agreement.
  3. Interested parties to purchase treated effluent from TRC for irrigation on their own land.

Or a combination of any, or all, of the above.
