Welcome Back

I want to welcome everyone back to term two and I look forward to an exciting term ahead. We have lots of sports coming up this term, from cross country to our athletics carnival. It will be a hectic time indeed.

Anzac Day

I would like to say how proud I was to participate with our students in the town Anzac Day March. It was very pleasing to see how many of our students marched to commemorate this important day.

Cross Country

Congratulations to all our primary students on a terrific cross country on Friday 29 April 2022. The event gave me one of my proudest moments in 31 years of teaching. As the older students finished their race, they stayed at the finish line and cheered every student who crossed the line. They did this right through to the final competitor of the under six race, who crossed the line to a cheer that would have rivalled winning an Olympic marathon.

Parents and Citizens

The P&C held its Annual General Meeting last Monday 2 May 2022, and I would like to thank them for all their hard work over the previous year. Congratulations to Kelly Phillips on being re-elected as President for the coming year and to all the other office-bearers. P&C meetings are on the first Monday of the month at the Primary campus; everyone is welcome.

Canteen

The P&C is currently searching for a person to run the canteen. If you are interested, please get in touch with the school, and we will pass on your details. I would like to thank Louise for all her efforts over the last six months and wish her well with her new job.

Staffing

I want to congratulate Jamie Neale on being appointed to the position of Special Ed Teacher. It's great to welcome Jamie back to the school, and he will bring a depth of experience to the role.

Environmental Corridor

Year 3/4 students have been planting trees for a bird habitat. We have been working with the Secondary students to create an environmental corridor.
