Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group Biggest Morning Tea 2022

Last Thursday saw a crisp morning for setting up of the Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group’s annual Biggest Morning Tea event in the Queen Street Mall. The stall tables bulged with home baked delights – both sweet and savoury, to accommodate everyone’s taste – along with some fresh home grown produce. Morning tea plates were assembled at Andy’s Guest House for delivery throughout town, and to the morning tea table adjacent to the Mall’s Mural for those to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.

The Barraba community supported the event well, despite the numbers being down on previous years, and we thank the generous nature of those who purchased and donated to the cause, being the Cancer Council NSW. Thanks also go to the band, comprising David, Mick, Hamilton and Martin who played beautifully throughout the morning entertaining the participants and passer’s by.

Winners of the 100 Club:

1st – Cate Gardiner.

2nd – Pam King.

3rd – Bill Rumsby.

The Guessing Competition was won by Peter Hancock.

Local secondary school student, Ned Duggan, was well supported at the school with his Biggest Morning Tea event. Students and staff alike, enjoyed the delicious baking from Ned and his family support team and gave generously throughout the morning. We extend sincere thanks to Ned for taking the initiative to organise this morning tea.

Again, huge thanks to the Barraba community for your support of the Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group’s Biggest Morning Tea. Thanks also extend to the new and existing members of the group for your efforts, and again, we welcome more members at any time throughout the year.
