NSW Support for local accommodation providers

MORE GOOD NEWS FOR LOCAL ACCOMODATION PROVIDERS

Accommodation providers across the region will be looking forward to welcoming more guests thanks to two new NSW Government voucher programs – Parents NSW and Stay NSW.

The vouchers are welcome news after many local providers faced cancellations in light of the Omicron variant and the postponement of the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the vouchers would become available from February and encouraged local providers to register their business with ServiceNSW.

“After the cancellation of the festival, I felt the pain for our accommodation providers who were facing a loss of income at a time when they were expecting a much-needed boost,” Mr Anderson said.

“These vouchers will help support those businesses and I encourage any eligible local providers to sign up via the Service NSW for Business app and start welcoming holiday makers.

“The vouchers provide $250 worth of accommodation subsidy to family’s right across the state, making a weekend away a great option for families who have had to cancel their holidays in the past months. Whether it’s in a hotel, motel or holiday park, this is a great way to support those businesses who have had a tough two years.”

Customers can pool multiple Stay NSW vouchers with friends or family for the same booking at registered accommodation providers, big or small. Parents NSW vouchers can be combined and used to redeem $250 off your accommodation account.

Participating businesses will be able to redeem vouchers seven days a week, including public holidays. Customers will be able to search for participating accommodation providers on the easy-to-use hotel finder.
