What a fantastic day at our Old Boys Day for the Barraba Rugby Union Club.

The day kicked off with a light luncheon at the club, proudly sponsored by Garvin & Cousens Tamworth — thank you Mr Warden for your generous support. It was wonderful to see past players, clubmen and supporters come together to relive memories, watch the legendary 1986 Grand Final and enjoy plenty of laughs and catch-ups along the way.

Can you believe it’s been 40 years since Barraba claimed the 1986 Grand Final victory? What an incredible milestone for our club and community.

On the field, it was a battle between the RAMS, in what proved to be a tough contest. Walcha’s defence was undeniably strong, heading into half time with a 14–0 lead. Barraba showed plenty of determination in the second half, managing to break through and put points on the board, but Walcha remained dominant and finished strongly to take the win 35–7. Thank you Walcha Rams - Rugby Union Club for descending from the hills for the day.
