Join the SES, they need your help

SES NEEDS YOUR HELP

As you may or may not be aware the Barraba SES has for a long time been inactive due lack of members. This was demonstrated in the recent flood event here. We had to rely on the Manilla unit to assist us. This meant that we had weakened resources to attend to their emergencies and had to wait for them to be able to dispatch a unit to help us. As a result, I am trying to reactive our unit but can only do this with your help.

We need all people who can work not just on site but with support at the unit.

SES will give us all the help we could want in training with regards to first aid certification, chain saw accreditation, safety in roof and rope handling and many other aspects. Many qualifications that will be accepted throughout industry are recognised by state and national industry requirements.

If you are 16 years old and above you are eligible to join us.

This is important not just to you but to the entire Barraba Community.
