Westpac Rescue in Barraba last Friday

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 840pm on Friday night to a report of a person who had suffered serious injuries at a residence in Barraba. NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived on scene and carried out initial treatment of the 40yo female who suffered serious head injuries in a fall at her residence and conveyed to Barraba airport to rendezvous with the helicopter. The lady was further stabilised by the Helicopter Care Medical Team prior to being airlifted to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in a serious but stable condition for further treatment.
