Drought resilience workshop at Upper Horton

15th June 2022

Calling all businesses owners, farmers, community members, volunteers.......

What helped you get through the last drought?

What would you have done differently?

What can we do in the future to make the Gwydir more resilient to drought?

We want to hear your experiences of the past drought, the challenges that were faced and any ideas you have that will help build resilience in our community to combat the effects of drought in the future. We want to hear from the whole community, not just farmers.

By participating in one of the 14 drought planning workshops below, you will assist in the development of a plan that will identify strategies to help future proof our community against rising temperatures and reoccurring drought conditions across the board, from farming practices and urban design to social planning.

Help build a brighter future for our community. Let's tackle drought together.

Workshops will take place:

Friday 17 June

Bingara | 9.00am – 11.00am
