Connecting with our community through a new communications strategy

Council is taking the next step in improving our connection with our community across the Tamworth region by developing a region-wide communications strategy. 

The Tamworth Regional Council Communications Strategy will guide how we listen to our community and share information. The recent community survey highlighted open and transparent communication as a priority and this strategy will support our commitment to open, two-way dialogue between Council and the community.

Council will be working closely with the community, internal and external stakeholders across the region, to ensure the strategy directly reflects the communication challenges and opportunities within the community.

To make our strategy as practical and relevant as possible, we need strong community input.

Executive Manager of Strategy and Performance, Jason Collins said Council is looking forward to developing a community centred strategy. “Developing a Strategy is a critical step forward for us to ensure communication with our community is clear, transparent, and reaches as many people as we can.” 

“Through the development of this Strategy, we aim to identify and develop the most effective ways to engage with our diverse range of audiences. This will help us advance Blueprint 100, ensuring we are ready for the future of communications and engagement,” said Mr Collins.
