Fun, Fashion and Fundraising
Richardson House is having a fundraising function on Saturday 29th March commencing at 1.30pm to 4pm at the Barraba Bowling Club.
The ‘Wedding Dress Collection’ owned by Rhonda Sutherland, from Manilla, including many very old and fragile dresses will be modelled and displayed throughout the afternoon with our MC providing descriptions and commentary.
Dresses from some Barraba locals including Bette King (belonging to the Barraba Historical Society) Adrianne Hancock and her mother’s dress, Marie Baker, Barbara Jessup and Alison Ward.
There will also be a parade of new and pre-loved fashions curated by the ladies at Opportunity Knocks including items for sale.
The cost is $10/person and tickets can be purchased from Saunders Fruit and Veg, Opportunity Knocks and Richardson House ahead of time to ensure your seat, alternately at the door on the day. It would be very helpful if people book ahead for catering purposes.
A delicious afternoon tea is included, supplied by the Bowling ladies and Richardson House.
Try your luck with door prizes and raffles which will be on sale.
Richardson House is fundraising for a lifter for when their residents require additional help. This lifter will keep the residents and the staff safe. The fundraising target is $8000 and we already have a great start with a donation from the Bowling Club Fishing Club of $2000.
Sponsors who are generously donating their time and in-kind support are Rhonda Sutherland and her band of models, Barraba Bowling Club and the lady bowlers, Opportunity Knocks, Sandra Allan and her camera, the catering and recreation staff at Richardson House.
Please come along, support our older Barraba residents who call Richardson House “home” and have a fun afternoon of fashions.
