Richardson House says, “thank you” to Barraba Rotary Club

Since the COVID19 Pandemic, Aged Care Facilities have been encouraged to keep a stockpile of PPE on hand in preparation for any outbreak.  This has presented a storage challenge for Richardson House with most of the deliveries of PPE having to be stored in the carport at the front of the facility, which is not ideal.

Recently the local Rotary Club came to the rescue with a very generous donation of $10,000 to help fund a storage solution.  Jo Bridges, Facility Manager at Richardson House, is happy to announce that last week a shipping container was purchased and put in place (with the help of Jo’s husband Mark’s preparation of the site) which will act as PPE Storage.  The Rotary funds will also help to purchase shelving for the container so that the PPE can be stored in an orderly manner making it easily accessible to staff.

Jo, the Board, staff and residents of Richardson House would like to pass on their sincere thanks to the Barraba Rotary Club.  They are very appreciative of the support that the community have, and continue to give Richardson House.  Donations such as this allow the facility to continue with their quality improvement, and assist them in continuing to provide this very important service to the local community.
