Golf Notes
We had thirty golfers turn out for our foursomes championships last Sunday. In the hotly contested men's event Will Sedgwick and Campbell Tonkin had 77 off the bat to get over Craig Ruttley and Shayne Middlemiss by one shot to claim the Peter York and Allan Yates sponsored Championship. Peter then teamed up with Tim Bucknell to claim the net championship by a half a shot again over Rutts and Shayne. Bad luck guys. Thanks to Kevin Kelaher and Rob Sweeney for sponsoring that event. The women's event was equally close with Lib Thompson and Lyn Groth one shot winners over Lyn and Gail Simpson. Lyn and Gail then went on to win the net event.
Ian McColl played a good shot on the third to claim a NTP, Shayne Middlemiss the 6th and Bill Simpson the twelfth.
This week we play a 4 Ball multiplier for Dave Kelly and Bill McKids trophies.
