Golf - Campbell Tonkin wins the stroke event

Form player Campbell Tonkin with a net 68 won last week’s stroke event, sponsored by Kerrie Smith, from Sam Faint in a tight countback. Craig Ruttley was next best with 70, Bill Simpson and Paul Grigg 72 and Peter York and Kerrie with 73 all winning balls. Campbell also defeated David McMurtrie in matchplay 2and1. There were no NTP's claimed.
One group found themselves looking at each other around the green on the 7th and one proposed a chipping challenge. The proposer ultimately collected much to the chagrin of the others!
This week we play a Verses Par for a trophy donated by Daniel Anderson and the following week our Foursomes Championship.
