The girls travelled to Inverell to play a team from Gunnedah but could not get a win going down narrowly 25-20. They were in the game all the way, but unable to score the vital points for a win. Next week they play Narrabri in Bingara at 2.20pm.

The men’s team travelled to Moree to take on the locals and with a slow start conceded an early try which saw them playing catch-up for the rest of the game.

Barraba/Gwydir had a much better 2nd half, with more control and better rugby to score some points for a final score of 29-12 to Moree.

This coming weekend Barraba/Gwydir play Inverell at Bingara at 3.15pm. The Bingara group would like to see supporters follow the players and give them the backing they need.

A Committee meeting will be held on Thursday night at 6pm at the Club.

The under 16’s school boys will be playing on Friday afternoon at 4pm
