Golf stableford with 32 players

A good field of 32 players contested an individual stableford on Sunday for a trophy donated by Bevan Benson.  Whilst we had some light drizzle come through it was not enough to stop play and Sam Faint was the overall winner with 40 points. Runner up was Tom Mellor who continued last week’s good form with 37 points. Balls went to Daniel Anderson 34, Will Sedgwick 33, Peter York 32, Mike Artis 32, Lyn Simpson 30 and Bill Simpson also 30 points. There were no NTPs claimed. 

In match play results Tom Mellor proved too strong for Liam Johnston 5 and 4, Kerrie Smith defeated Bevan Benson 4 and 3, Daniel Anderson defeated Rob Sweeney 5 and 4 whilst Gary Allen just got over David Kelly 1 up. 

This week the men will play on Saturday 21st May in a 4 Ball BAM for a trophy donated by Will Sedgwick and Peter Simpson whilst the 2022 Barraba Ladies Open will hold centre stage on Sunday.
