Back to the Bush - on again this year

Back to the Bush Auto Festival 2026.

The Aircooled Assembly Inc group has been busy planning for the ‘Back to the Bush Auto Festival’, and it is shaping up to be another great event on the calendar. We noticed an increased trend of having family and friends visit that weekend to enjoy the festivities and we look forward to seeing that trend grow again this year.

This year we will have a Muddy MAYhem display – Not sure what Muddy MAYhem or a mudrun come is? We encourage everyone to come and see the display. We are excited to see some of the mud cars from last year’s event back to Barraba! (and maybe a few we haven’t seen before!) The car display will also have a free colouring in for the kids (to take with them or do there) as well as a TV showing some of the awesome footage from last year’s event. Made possible with sponsorship there are new rides in the kids’ corner and, of course, facepainting! Entries to the show and shine remain free as well as the evening entertainment.

This year will feature Chicken Liquor (back by popular demand from last year) and more! Plus, the amazing firework display by Inland Fireworks!

Fireworks? We remind the residents of Barraba that there will be a fireworks display. The display is scheduled for 8.30pm Saturday 17th October as part of the ‘Back to the Bush’ event. There will be further Public Notices before the event.

Aircooled Assembly Inc has been successful in their application, and we are so excited to see our family friendly free community event, Back to the Bush, featured as a tv commercial again on Chanel7 and 7Mate this October. We hope that the tv promotion will attract people to our town for the event and encourage people to stay the night.
