Hospital Auxiliary update

Barraba Hospital Auxiliary Happenings

Congratulations and thank you to Pat Penna, a long-term valued member of the United Hospitals Auxiliaries of NSW - Barraba Branch. President Lib Croll said that “Pat works faithfully and consistently doing all she can to help raise funds for our residents, staff and clients of the Health Service in Barraba. She is also innovative and very knowledgeable about all things pertaining to the UHA, both past and present. She has introduced new ideas and projects over the many years that she has been a member and Pat continues to be an active member of the Barraba UHA. She is now honoured as being elected at the 2026 AGM as our Patron of the Barraba Branch.”

We would also like to wish to Shirley Simmons, our Internal Life Member, all the best in her future ventures. Thank you also for your 10 years plus of friendship and dedication to the Barraba UHA members and the wider Barraba Community.

Thank you to Gillian and Marty Unwin for their very generous donation to help with our fundraising activities. It is very much appreciated and we hope that you enjoy your move to Tamworth.

Following a donation of $221.40 from the TRC Annual Donations Program, we have purchased 4 fold up chairs to be used at street stalls and other UHA activities. Thank you TRC for your support of the Barraba UHA.

The Barraba UHA would like to thank the Barraba Community for their support with our fundraising activities over the past financial year. The Barraba Community is very generous and supportive when it comes to fundraising events. Your generosity has resulted in our net fundraising profit expenditure, providing the following items to the Barraba MPS for the benefit of the clients, staff, residents and visitors.

  • Cardiac Monitor for the Emergency Dept.
  • Earmuffs for telehealth for emergency dept. patients.
  • Garvin House Residents admission gifts.
  • Children’s cushions for emergency dept.
  • Quiet room outlook garden mix for plants.

                                                                  Total of $19,491.04

If you would like to join the Barraba United Hospital Auxiliary and help to raise much needed funds, our next meeting will be on the 2nd of October at 10am in the Day Centre. New members welcome.
