CROFTERS TARTAN WEAVING MILL TRIP:
A great day trip to Spring Ridge - Crofters Tartan Weaving Mill - on the 8TH November. The Mill is owned and operated by siblings, Marie and Fred Lawson. They have developed and registered many tartans (approved by the Scottish Register of Tartan’s) including the Koala, Galah, Rosella, Black Swan and the Clydesdale, just to name a few.
Lunch at the Royal Hotel, Spring Ridge was very enjoyable and our tour of Breeza Station was very interesting and informative about the intensive cropping practices at Breeza Station, thank you to James Pursehouse. Thankfully we managed to miss the wild storms that were in the area....
