Playgroup to start for all ages

Barraba Health Service Playgroup

Barraba Hospital is excited to launch a new intergenerational playgroup, starting on Tuesday 2nd September and continuing on the first Tuesday of each month from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Held in the Day Centre, this playgroup will bring together young families from our community and the residents of Garvin House for a morning of shared connection and fun.

Parents and caregivers with children under 6 are warmly invited to join us for activities including art, craft, story time, and morning tea.

Intergenerational playgroups offer many benefits—helping to boost emotional wellbeing, reduce isolation and loneliness, enhance cognitive function, and foster strong bonds between generations.
