Memorial placed at Polkadot – by Geoff Hagan

The Barraba Central School 1975 1^st Form, 1980 Year 12 memorial dining set and photograph, was placed into The Polkadot Coffee Shop on Monday morning 16^th June 2025.  It followed a 50-year 1^st form reunion and dedication service, that took place on the King’s Birthday long weekend.

Peter York and Geoff Hagan transported the dining set from the Parish Hall, where it was stored for a week.  With the use of Peter’s ute it was transported carefully to Polkadot where it was placed.

With the Memorial dining set and photograph in place, Peter and Geoff sat at the table and enjoyed an inaugural coffee together, to remember their deceased friends and classmates.

The wish of Geoff and his former classmates (now just friends) is for the citizens of Barraba district and visitors who sit to enjoy a beverage at this table remember and reflect on the names that are placed around it.
