Barraba Preschool remembers Ruby
Ruby’s Animal Walk @ Barraba Preschool
On Tuesday 21st November, we officially opened a memorial in honour of one of our dear preschool friends, Ruby Peake.
Last April we said goodbye to Ruby, who had been coming to preschool for a little over a year and had won the hearts of us all very quickly. She was a kind and gentle girl. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh would light up the room. She was always happy and was simply a pleasure to have here at preschool.
We wished to create a special space here at preschool so that we may remember and think of our dear friend Ruby. It was obvious that Ruby had a special place in her heart for animals and with that in mind, we created a memorial called “Ruby’s Animal Walk.”
Barraba Preschool would like to thank the community who supported the preschool’s fundraising events this year and the kind donations we received, that have all contributed to funding this memorial.
We hope that the children now and, in the future, will enjoy playing and engaging with Ruby’s Animal Walk and in doing so, her memory will live on.
