Westpac helicopter called to Barraba

At about 9am on Friday the 17 November, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital retrieval from the Barraba Hospital to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for a man in his 70s suffering from a serious medical condition. The male was stabilised at Barraba by the helicopter's critical care medical team before being flown direct to Newcastle where he will undergo further specialist treatment.
