Golf Notes – 27 August 2023

This week was the final round of our Club Championship, playing for the Ian Cabot trophy. It looked like C. Sweeney only had to turn up to claim the Championship, but P. York stole the day with an impressive score of 78 off the stick. The Ladies Trophy went to the always consistent A. Koopman with a score of 87.

Worth a mention was F. Allan matching P. York’s score of 78 and C. Rutley with 74 off the stick. The ladies cleaned up in our match plays, with A. Smith defeating our trusty president W. Sedgewick, and A. Koopman defeating our ginger ninja T. Mellor. Nearest to Pin went to F. Allan on the 3^rd, A. Smith on the 6^th, and K. Kelaher on the 12^th.

With the weather closing in, the turn out did very well to finish, with all 29 starters getting wet.
