Rugby Report 31-7 win against Inverell

10th August 2022

Rugby Report

Barraba/Gwydir travelled to Inverell on the weekend to play the home team in wet conditions and from a poor start from the kick-off allowed Inverell to open the score. The team seemed to take some time to get started from then on.

From then the Barraba forwards took control of the play for the majority of the game which gave the backs plenty of ball to run in a number of tries. One by Makenzie Austin standing out as one of the highlights, while the two tries to A. Crouch and one under the black dot by N. Sweeney. Barraba let Inverell in for a late try for a final score of 31-17 in Barraba’s favour.

Players Player was shared 3 ways which shows the effort by all players. They were M. Austin, H. Spencer and T. Tabuso in his first game this season.
