If you are a young lady aged between 15 to 17 years or 18 to 24 years,’ please contact Kelly Brown or Bindy Abell to enter into the 2021 Barraba Showgirl competition.
The Showgirl Competition aims to find a young female between 18-24 years of age to be an ‘Ambassador for Barraba’ and the agricultural show movement. The winning Showgirl of each local Show Society is selected by a panel of three judges and remains Showgirl until the next year’s Show. Her role involves many official and informal duties locally such as public speaking throughout the year and presenting prizes for winners at the Barraba Show.
The competition is not a beauty pageant. Entrants are judged on personality, confidence, ambition and life goals, general knowledge, rural knowledge, community involvement, presentation and speech.
Entrants will be special guests at the Barraba Show Weekend 4th - 6th March 2022 and the winner will represent the Barraba Show Society and the Barraba District at the Zone 4 judging on the 19th February 2022 in Wee Waa.
