TRC repairs to Barraba public toilets

20th August 2021

Public toilet upgrade at Barraba’s Rotary Park delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions

The planned refurbishment of the public amenities at Rotary Park Barraba, originally scheduled for September 2021, has been delayed due to current NSW Public Health Orders. The contractors employed to carry out the refurbishment of this and six other facilities have been unable to travel to the Tamworth region due to lockdowns enforced in various parts of the state over the past two months including Greater Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Work upgrading the seven facilities across the region will begin once these restrictions are lifted.

This project is fully funded by the Australian Government. Representing an investment of $300,000, improving the identified public amenities at Split Rock Dam, Moonbi, Kootingal, Barraba, Woolomin, Attunga and Somerton has been funded by the Australian Government’s recent Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
