Barraba United Hospital Auxiliary update
Barraba Hospital Auxiliary Happenings
Barraba Hospital Auxiliary provided a delicious morning tea at the Day Centre on the 8th of October from 9:30am for Dementia Awareness. The morning saw visitors from Richardson House and Garvin House as well as Barraba residents enjoying time together and hearing about Dementia – now recognized as the leading cause of death in Australia.
We were also pleased to welcome guest speakers Richard Williams - Older Persons Clinical Consultant, and Louise Albertson – Delirium and Dementia Nurse Consultant, from Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
Richard and Louise both gave very informative talks to those in attendance. Thank you to you both for your support.
Thank you to all who attended and to UHA Members for providing the yummy morning tea for everyone to enjoy.
Congratulants to Jo Bridges who has been appointed the Health Service Manager, we look forward to working with Jo and her staff as we fundraise to help provide equipment for the MPS.
Date for the diary: Street Stall 5th November from 9am. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to join the Barraba UHA the next meeting will be on the 6th of November at 10.00am in the Day Centre.
