A message from the Tamworth Mayor
Message from the Mayor – Councillor Russell Webb
I feel honoured to be returned as your Mayor for the coming two years and I am humbled by the support of my fellow Councillors. It is a privilege to be among one of the nine councillors elected to serve our community. Our first priority must be working together as a team so we can make this community of ours an even better place to live in. We need to focus on what our community needs.
In everything we do in life there are always going to be things we can probably do better. As councillors there are always going to be some changes on the way we approach the issues that are in front us. That’s what I want to do in this term as Mayor and I’m sure that will happen with the new Council.
There are so many good things happening in our local government area. We have steady economic growth, job opportunities, businesses looking to invest here and a great lifestyle. We are one of the top regions of NSW and as Councillors by working together we can build on that even further.
It is reported that the in vote for Mayor six Councillors voted for Russell Webb and three for the other candidate Mark Rodda.
