Thank you for supporting the Biggest Morning Tea

28th May 2024

Cancer Fundraising

A frosty, cold and shady morning greeted Barraba Cancer Patients Fund Raising Group Inc. members, along with the band ‘Old Spice’, as they all set up for Barraba’s Biggest Morning Tea in the Queen Street Mall. The day warmed up nicely as did the ‘buzz’ about the area, with a full table of goodies/produce and the hum of tunes from the instruments and voices from the band. Thank you to all Band members for providing the much loved and appreciated music that completed the festive morning’s atmosphere. The music warmed the hearts of all who heard, as the sunshine did when it eventually shone upon us.

Whilst thanking people, we are so very appreciative of the Barraba community for their continued support. THANK YOU one and all for purchasing; whether it be items for sale, morning tea plates and a cuppa, guessing competition tickets, the 100 Club – everything sold in a matter of hours. Thank you also for the donors of money and items for the day. John and Toni Wauch donated the fruit and vegetable basket for the guessing competition and Ken Faulkner for his handcrafted wooden piece for the lucky seat prize.

Winners on the day, apart from the Cancer Council NSW where fund raised are directed were;

Guessing Competition – Joe Riley

Lucky Seat prize – Betty Nelson

100 Club – 1st Rhonda Phillips, 2nd Leanne Shaw, 3rd Myra Billsbourough.
