Pleasing to see Graham Bowman have a return to form to take out the Betty Artis Memorial trophy on Sunday. Carding 42 stableford points Graham won on a countback from runner up Bill Simpson also with 42 points. Balls went to Peter Simpson 38, Peter York 38, Chris Sweeney 38, Des Kelaher 37, Mike Artis 37, Ian Cabot 36 and Kerrie Smith 35.
NTP went to Peter York on the 3rd.
In some very close match play results;
Dave McMurtrie just got over Rodger Fisher at the 19th Ian Cabot defeated Gary Allen 2 and 1. Mike Artis defeated Sam Faint 1 up. Bill Simpson defeated Peter York 4 and 2. Kerrie Smith defeated Liam Johnston 6 and 4. Rob Sweeney defeated Daniel Anderson 2 up.
Next Sunday the 18th is the second round of our Club Championships for Campbell Tonkin’s trophy. The week after Sunday 25th is the annual Manilla Men’s Open. For those players not travelling to Manilla there will be an Individual Stableford for a club trophy.
Just a heads up that Tuesday is ladies golf commencing at 9am each week for nine holes. All are welcome and beginners are encouraged to join in with coffee afterwards.
