What have the Golfers been doing?

30th March 2022

Golf Notes

With gloomy weather some chose to stay away while those that took it on had a pretty good day but alas some thought the clubhouse was more appealing than the last couple of holes. In all we had 26 starters for the 4BBB kindly sponsored by Firman Allan and Toni and John Waugh.

The course is as good as it gets and it's a real treat to play. Daniel Anderson and Craig Ruttley proved too strong for the rest of the field and won with a good score of 47 points. Rutts sank the boot in when, in the rain, chipped in in his last two holes. Will Sedgwick and Campbell Tonkin were next with 43 closely followed by Liam Johnston and Ian Cabot 42. Dave and Helen Kelly also won balls with 40. Campbell got off the tee really well. Liam thought he may have done a little better had he'd known from the beginning he had a partner but was sedged out of it.

Next week we play an Individual Bisque Par for Ian and Brenda McColl's trophy. Could be another day of vacant looks and head scratching but we will master it.

Don’t forget to organise a partner for our Mixed Foursomes Championships on Sunday the 10th April for the L & V Bridges Memorial trophy.
