Golf Notes from 12th Sept 21

 The dynamic duo of Sam Faint and Paul Grigg continued their good form to combine to take out the John Freeman and Mick Djurik 4 BBB Aggregate trophy on Sunday. With a combined total of 70 stableford points they edged out the pairing of Des Kelaher and Peter Simpson on 67 points with balls also going to Campbell Tonkin and Will Sedgwick 66 points and Firmen Allan and Daniel Anderson 65 points. NTPs went to Bevan Benson on the 6th, Dave McMurtrie on the 12th and Peter York again on 18th. In some close match play results Graham Bowman and Dave McMurtrie defeated Bevan Benson and Liam Johnston after 2 extra play off holes on the 20th whilst Will Sedgwick and Campbell Tonkin defeated Peter and Mike Artis at the 19th. Sam Faint and Paul Grigg defeated Daniel Anderson and Firmen Allan 4 and 3.

Next Sunday September 19th is an Individual Stableford for the Vera Doyle Memorial trophy.

On Sunday the 26th September is our very popular 4 Person 9 hole Ambrose event in aid of Breast Cancer. These days are for golfers and non golfers and are always a lot of fun. What a great opportunity to have a post lockdown breakout with your friends whilst also raising money for a great cause. So if you want to plan a 4 person team or be put in a team come on out at 12.30pm Sunday 26th September for a 1 pm hit off.
