Margaret Harris says "Thanks" to the Sunday Sewers.
Well known Barraba local, Margaret Harris, recently moved home to Richardson House. That meant having to downsize so much from her home of many years in Barraba.
Margaret donated a quantity of fabric to the Guild for use by the Sunday Sewers or for sale to shoppers. Amongst the donations were many items of household linen which had been hand embroidered and some hand-made lace items. These had been completed by Margaret’s grandmother and great aunts. The work of Margaret’s family members is just beautiful and deserved to be preserved.
Sharon O’Dell and the Sunday Sewers got to work and transformed the individual items into a cushion and knee rug to go back to Margaret for use in her room at Richardson House. A wonderful gift of time by Sharon to ensure important and sentimental hand-made family treasures can continue to be enjoyed by Margaret.
Margaret dropped into the Claypan last Sunday to thank the ladies for their thoughtfulllness.
