Twilight comp hits off

Golf News
Dustin Hiscock picked up where he left off last year and won the chook with 23 point on the opening round of our twilight competition. Balls went to Charlie Cordingley with 22, Adam Russell and Ally Smith 21, Simon Koopman, Helen Kelly and Bill Servin 20 and Kevin Smith and Phil Dawson with 19. Best of the 5 holers was Jack Ward.
Teams are still sorting themselves out a bit so there is plenty of room to be in a team or alternatively don't be in a team and play whenever you like.
In other golf news Firman Allan defeated Ally Smith on the 19th to claim this years’ matchplay championship. Ironically it was a replay of last years’ final except it was Ally that won on the 19th on that occasion. Firman must be in good form as he and Jesse Phillips defeated Dan Lott and Kieren Darlington 4 and 3 to advance to the 4Ball matchplay final against Summy and Pickles. It's all happening!
Walcha had their Mixed and Men’s Open on last weekend. Kerrie and Neil Smith won the mixed with 43 points on the Saturday while Josh Austin and Jack Boyd came third in the men’s with a very credible +5 on the Sunday. A good day was had by all. Barraba was well represented with 8 players up there for the mixed and 13 for the men’s. Well done all!
