Frost introduces “Inside 55”

Frost Over Barraba is excited to introduce the “Inside 55” Art Show. Entrants are asked to keep their artworks inside the dimension of 55x55cm this year (or 55x55x55cm for three dimensional works). The restriction may lead to some creative responses from artists, as well as boosting sales of artworks.
Entering will be done completely online this year, including paying entry fees. All the details artists need to know to enter are also on the Frost website.
Frost’s major prize has been increased to $4,000, with an overall prize pool on offer of $6,500.
The venue for the Art Show is new this year, with the exhibition moving to Barraba’s historic Treloar’s Building at 75 Queen Street. The two large, linked, Victorian era shops have high ceilings and generous shopfronts. As locals know, one of Barraba’s popular public artworks, “Beyond the Walls” by Jenny McCracken is situated on the external wall on Alice Street.
The Art Show will be open from 10am on Thursday 31 August through to Sunday afternoon at 1pm. Winners will be announced on social media at 10am Thursday 31 August. 
An Arty Party is planned for the evening of Friday 1 September in the Treloar’s Building. Everyone is welcome join in, enjoy the Show and a catch up. Tickets will be available from this site from 1 August.
